MotaBhai — Terms of Use
Last updated: [date].
1. About these terms
MotaBhai ("the service") is run by Purusham Labs, a sole proprietorship of Ankit Saboo, [CONFIRM: registered address, Jaipur] ("we"). When you first sign in we ask for two separate ticks. The first is for these terms and your age. By ticking it and using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
2. What MotaBhai is, and is not
MotaBhai gives you a considered view on a business or family dilemma, based only on what you tell it. It is written with the help of artificial intelligence. It may be wrong, incomplete or out of date.
It is general guidance to help you think. It is not legal, tax, GST, accounting, investment or securities, insurance, or medical or psychological advice. We are not a law firm, not a chartered accountancy firm, not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst, and not a registered financial or insurance intermediary. Nothing in a report is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, property or financial product.
Before acting on anything involving tax, law, regulatory filings, borrowing, securities, property, employment or health, take advice from a qualified professional who can see your actual papers. Decisions, and their consequences, remain yours. No outcome is promised.
We have not verified anything you tell us.
3. What you give us
- You may share only what you have the right to share. Do not enter anyone's Aadhaar, PAN, bank account or card number, passwords or OTPs.
- Do not use MotaBhai for anything unlawful, to harass or defame anyone, or to ask for help harming a person.
- You give us permission to use what you enter to write your report and run the service, as the Privacy Notice describes. You keep ownership of what you wrote.
- We do not sell your questions or reports. The AI service we use is Anthropic's API, under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to train its models on our content. That includes yours.
- If you type a web address into an answer, we fetch that page and send its text to the AI service with your question. Do not paste links to pages you do not want read.
How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Notice, which you accept with the second tick. It is part of these terms.
4. Coins and payment
- Beta. During the test, MotaBhai is free to the people we invite. Coins in this period have no money value and may be reset. [CONFIRM: tester coin grant.]
- Prices. Prices are those shown in the app when you buy. At the time of writing: a monthly pack of 20 coins at ₹2,000 plus GST; top-ups of at least 5 coins at ₹100 a coin plus GST. GST is charged on top of the price. [CONFIRM with CA: GST registration and wording before any real payment.]
- What coins buy. A question costs 5 coins. A follow-up on a delivered report costs 2 coins.
- Monthly pack renews automatically. When you buy the monthly pack, it renews every month, and we charge the same payment method, until you cancel. You will see this before you pay and agree to it separately at checkout.
- Reminder. We tell you at least 24 hours before each charge, with the amount and date. [CONFIRM with counsel and payment provider: RBI rules on recurring payments, including pre-debit notice, authentication and any per-charge limit.]
- Cancel. Settings → Cancel monthly pack. It is as easy as signing up. It stops the next renewal; the pack runs to the end of the month you paid for. Unused coins are not refunded.
- Failed payment. If a charge fails, we may retry for [CONFIRM: number] days, then stop the pack. We will tell you.
- Price change. We give you at least [CONFIRM: 30] days' notice before a price change takes effect. You may cancel before it does.
- Top-ups are one-time. They do not renew.
- Auto-renew goes live only when our payment provider's subscription service is switched on. Until then the monthly pack is a one-time monthly purchase. [CONFIRM: Sahil — Razorpay subscriptions pending account access.]
- Retries. If a question cannot be run for a reason on your side — for example a file that is too large or too little context — you can correct it and try again, up to 3 times. After the third, the coins are used.
- Our failures. If the failure is ours — an error, outage or a report we could not deliver — the coins are always returned.
- Coins that expire and coins that carry over. Coins left from a monthly pack at the end of the month do not carry over. Top-up coins carry over for 12 months.
- No refunds of unused coins, and none on coins already used for a delivered report. Coins have no cash value and cannot be transferred. We may, at our discretion, credit coins as goodwill.
- Payment is handled by Razorpay. We do not see your card or UPI details.
5. Your reports
- Your report is for your own use. Once you share it, we cannot control what others do with it. The downloaded PDF includes your question as you wrote it, and the names of any files you attached, so that anyone who reads it has the context.
- The people running MotaBhai cannot open your question or your report in the app. We read one only if you send it to us, for example with a complaint. The Privacy Notice explains the rest.
- Reports and the questions behind them are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically, or sooner if you delete them or your account. Download anything you want to keep.
- Reports are generated, so two similar questions may get different answers. Do not treat a report as final.
6. Fair use
- Do not run automated scripts, repeat incomplete or abandoned runs to drain capacity, or try to get around the coin system.
- We may limit or suspend an account that does this, after a warning where we reasonably can.
7. The beta
MotaBhai is a test, not a finished product. It may change, be interrupted, or end. If it ends, we will tell you, stop any monthly renewal, and delete the data as the Privacy Notice says.
8. Our rights
The service, its design, the name and mascot, and the way reports are written belong to us or our licensors. You may use them to use the service, not to copy it. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve the service without owing you anything.
9. Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law permits:
- the service is provided "as is", without promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free;
- we are not liable for any loss from decisions you take on the basis of a report;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit;
- our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or ₹[CONFIRM: figure], whichever is greater.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending your use
You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account also cancels any monthly renewal. We may end your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature continue (including 2, 8, 9, 11) survive.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We will show you the change and the date. If you keep using the service after that, you accept it; where the law needs fresh consent, we will ask again. A price change follows section 4.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Write to us first; we will try to settle it. Failing that, the courts at [CONFIRM: Jaipur] have jurisdiction. [CONFIRM with counsel: arbitration clause or not.]
13. Contact
Questions, grievances and privacy requests: [CONFIRM: support@askmotabhai.com]. Please include the email or phone you signed in with.
